This was such a fun engagement shoot in Clifton Village on a beautiful clear autumn day.
Toni and Simon are getting married next June but were really keen to get together before the big day for an engagement shoot. Their wedding will be near High Wycombe, but they spend quite a bit of time in the South West visiting friends and family so we managed to find a date in the diary when we were all free and met one crisp, autumnal afternoon in Bristol for a fun and relaxed engagement shoot in Clifton Village.
After meeting in a café for a quick chat and some hot drinks, we took a stroll around the landmarks of Clifton; taking in Royal York Crescent, Brunel's Suspension Bridge, the Clifton Observatory, Clifton Down and the Durdham Downs.
Throughout the afternoon we chatted lots about their wedding plans. It sounds like it will be amazing – Toni loves horses and their wedding venue is a Horse Trust, which I think is really cool. It’ll also provide a great opportunity for some brilliant and unique wedding photographs.
Toni and Simon were so chilled out and easy to work with. They were also really enthusiastic and happy to do all the silly stuff I suggested and they both didn’t stop laughing and smiling all day which always makes for a super fun shoot.
I also love shooting at this time of year. The colours of the trees are amazing but you don’t get long with the best light. Once we had got all the shots, we warmed with coffee, hot sandwiches and cake before one final, dramatic shot at sunset.
Cheers Toni and Simon for being so much fun. I loved this engagement shoot in Clifton Village and I hope you like the photos.
