I’m delighted to show you my favourite images from this incredibly beautiful Kings Weston House Wedding with Stephanie and John. Kings Weston House is just a couple of miles outside the centre of Bristol and somewhere that we come to regularly to walk the dog in their woodlands and green fields. (They’ve got a good dog-friendly cafe for post-walk tea and cake!) The interior of the house has been lovingly restored into a fantastic wedding venue; I am particularly in love with the gorgeous, blue and pink Portrait Gallery where Stephanie and John held their cermony, watched over by the grand portraits of the former residents of the house. I also love that the couple had chosen to have a black-tie reception, to fully do justice to the elegant surroundings.
Stephanie and John are a talented pair; as keen dancers, they performed one of the best First Dances that I have seen to Van Morrison’s Brown Eyed Girl, and John also plays guitar and his Groom’s speech included a song to Stephanie. His band, ‘The Blue Badgers’ entertained the wedding guests, playing long into the evening and John’s daughter even joined in with a fab saxaphone solo. Stephanie’s speech was a brilliantly funny story, telling the tale of their relationship. (The pair are also keen photographers themselves, so it was rather daunting taking on their wedding photography.)
As a little bonus, we were treated to five minutes of incredible sunset. The brilliant venue staff rushed to grab me during dinner and luckily the couple were also game to put down their knives and forks and whiz outside and get some dramatic sunset pictures. I think it was worth it and it really topped off this wonderful Kings Weston House Wedding.
